This Privacy Policy explains how BaruzoTech ("BaruzoTech", "we", "us" or "our") handles information in connection with the Loan & Mortgage Calculator mobile application (the "App"), which is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. It applies to your use of the App on any supported device.

We have designed the App to be private by default. The App does not collect, store on our servers, or transmit any personal data. Every calculation runs entirely on your device, the App works fully offline, and anything you save stays on your device. Please read this Privacy Policy together with our Terms of Service.

1. Interpretation and Definitions

The following terms have the same meaning whether they appear in the singular or the plural.

  • App means the Loan & Mortgage Calculator software application provided by BaruzoTech for mobile devices.
  • Device means any device that can access the App, such as a smartphone or a tablet.
  • You means the individual using the App.
  • Personal Data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Usage Data means data collected automatically about how a service is used, such as screens viewed or session length.
  • Local Data means information stored only on your Device and not transmitted to us, such as your saved calculations, history, and preferences.
  • App Store means the Apple App Store or Google Play, through which the App is distributed.

2. Our Privacy Principle

The App is built around a single principle: your financial figures are yours. To honour that, the App runs its calculations locally on your Device and does not require an account, a login, or an internet connection. Because we never receive your data, we cannot read it, sell it, share it, lose it, or be compelled to hand it over.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be specific about what the App does not do. The App does not collect:

  • Personal Data such as your name, email address, phone number, postal address, or date of birth.
  • Financial account information such as bank account numbers, card numbers, balances, or credentials. The App is a calculator; it does not connect to your bank or any financial institution.
  • The figures you enter into any calculator, or the results the App produces.
  • Usage Data or analytics such as which calculators you open, how long you use the App, taps, or screens viewed.
  • Device or network identifiers such as advertising identifiers, device serial numbers, IP address, or a device fingerprint.
  • Precise or approximate location. The App does not request or use location data.
  • Contacts, calendar, photos, microphone, or camera, or any other content on your Device.

4. Local Data Stored on Your Device

To make the App useful, some information is stored locally on your Device. This may include:

  • calculations you choose to save as favourites;
  • your calculation history;
  • preferences such as your default currency, number format, and light or dark theme.

This Local Data is stored only on your Device using the operating system's standard storage. It is never sent to us or to any third party, and we have no ability to access it. You remain in full control of it: you can clear the App's history or data from within the App or your Device settings, and uninstalling the App removes it.

5. No Advertising, Analytics, or Tracking

The App contains no advertising and no analytics. It does not include third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, or tracking software development kits (SDKs). In particular, the App does not use:

  • cookies or similar web-storage technologies for tracking;
  • advertising identifiers such as Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or the Google Advertising ID (AAID);
  • cross-app or cross-site tracking, or device fingerprinting;
  • third-party marketing, retargeting, or profiling tools.

Because there is no tracking, there is nothing for an App Tracking Transparency prompt (on iOS) to request, and no advertising profile is ever built about you.

6. Internet Access and Network Activity

The App is designed to work fully offline and does not require an internet connection to function. It does not send your inputs, results, or Device information to any server, and it does not perform IP-based location or currency lookups. Currency lists and formatting are bundled with the App and resolved from your Device's own regional settings.

7. Device Permissions

The App is built to require as few permissions as possible and does not request access to sensitive data or capabilities such as your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or files. If a future version of the App introduced an optional feature that needed a permission, that permission would be requested only at the point of use, only with your consent, and used solely for that feature.

8. How We Use Information

Because the App does not collect Personal Data or Usage Data, we do not use, process, profile, or make automated decisions about any such information. Local Data is used only on your Device and only to provide the features you have chosen, such as showing your saved calculations.

9. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share Personal Data, because we do not collect any. As we hold no user data:

  • we have no data to share with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers;
  • we have no data to disclose in response to a legal request, subpoena, or court order;
  • in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, there is no user-data set that could be transferred.

10. Data Retention

We do not retain any Personal Data because we do not collect it. Local Data is retained on your Device for as long as you keep it and is entirely under your control, as described in Section 4.

11. Security

Keeping your data on your Device removes the risks associated with transmitting and storing it on remote servers. Local Data is protected by your Device's own security features, such as your passcode, biometric lock, and the operating system's storage protections. We recommend keeping your Device's operating system up to date and using a screen lock. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but because the App does not transmit your data, it is not exposed to server breaches or interception in transit.

12. International Users

The App can be used anywhere the App Store makes it available. Because no data leaves your Device, there is no international transfer of your Personal Data to any country or server, and no cross-border processing by us.

13. Platform Privacy Disclosures

App marketplaces require developers to disclose their data practices. Ours reflect that we collect nothing:

  • Apple App Store - App Privacy ("Nutrition Label"): "Data Not Collected." The developer does not collect any data from this App.
  • Google Play - Data Safety: No data is collected and no data is shared with third parties. Data is processed on the Device.

When you download, install, update, or (if applicable) pay for the App, the App Store itself may process information about that transaction under Apple's or Google's own privacy policies. That processing is carried out by Apple or Google as independent controllers, not by us, and is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

14. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-purpose financial calculator intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age of digital consent in your country, which may be higher). If you believe a child has provided us with Personal Data, please note that, by design, the App provides no mechanism to transmit such data to us; nonetheless, you may contact us with any concern.

15. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your Personal Data under laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar laws elsewhere. These rights typically include the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.

Because we do not collect or hold any of your Personal Data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, disclose, delete, or transfer, and we do not "sell" or "share" Personal Data as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. Any Local Data on your Device is already fully within your control, and you may view, change, or delete it at any time using the App or your Device settings. You may still contact us with any question about your rights, and we will respond as required by applicable law.

16. "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Signals

Some browsers and devices can send "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. Because the App does not track users or collect data across services, these signals have no data to act upon, and the App behaves the same way for everyone.

17. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may occasionally link to external resources, such as our website or an app-store page. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites or services we do not operate, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies. The App itself embeds no third-party content that would collect your data.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or changes in law or app-store requirements. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to make it more prominent. Your continued use of the App after an update takes effect indicates that you have reviewed the changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
