BrandSnap is a Canva app that helps you extract brand assets such as logos, images, fonts, and website colors from website URLs you provide, and use those assets inside Canva.

This Privacy Policy applies to BrandSnap only. Canva is a separate platform and has its own privacy policy and terms. Please review Canva’s policies for information about how Canva handles your data.

2. What BrandSnap does

BrandSnap allows you to paste a website URL and attempts to extract and display certain website-based brand assets, for example:

• Images visible or referenced on the page (where accessible)

• Font and typography information (as available through website code)

BrandSnap uses automated methods to retrieve and process website resources related to the URL you provide.

3. Information we collect

We aim to collect only the information needed to operate BrandSnap, maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve performance.

3.1 Information you provide

• Website URLs and related inputs: The website links you paste into BrandSnap and any other inputs you provide within the App (such as selected assets, filters, or preferences).

3.2 Information generated during extraction

When you use BrandSnap, the App may generate and process:

• Extraction results: Parsed data about logos, images, colors, and font details that the App identifies from the URL you provided.
• Technical logs: Records used to diagnose issues and maintain reliability, such as timestamps, error messages, and performance metrics.
• Usage events: Actions such as “URL submitted,” “asset previewed,” or “asset inserted,” which may be stored in aggregated form for analytics and product improvement.

3.3 Device and technical information

Depending on how the App is implemented and hosted, we may collect:

3.4 Canva related identifiers

When BrandSnap runs inside Canva, Canva may provide limited identifiers or context required for the integration to function. This could include:

• User or installation identifiers (as permitted by Canva and the Canva app framework)

We do not seek to collect personal details beyond what is necessary to provide the service. The exact identifiers available to us depend on Canva’s APIs and permissions.

3.5 Content from third-party websites

When you submit a URL, BrandSnap retrieves website resources to extract brand assets. This website content is owned and controlled by the website operator or rights holder. We process it to provide extraction results to you.

Important: BrandSnap is not intended for collecting personal data from websites. You should not use BrandSnap to extract personal data.

4. Information we do not intentionally collect

We do not intentionally collect:

• Passwords or payment card details (BrandSnap is currently free)
• Sensitive personal information (such as health data, biometric data, religious or political beliefs)
• Government identification numbers

This confirmation is designed to apply to future use of BrandSnap as well, unless you stop using the App.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

8.4 Business transfers

If BaruzoTech is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, information related to BrandSnap may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality measures.

9. Data retention

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Typical retention may include:

• Support communications: retained as needed to address your issue and maintain a support history.
• Technical logs: retained for a limited period to troubleshoot and secure the service.

Because BrandSnap involves extraction from third-party websites, some extracted results may be cached temporarily to improve performance. If we use caching, it is intended to be limited, time-bound, and used only to operate the service.
